Part 30 – What It Means To Prepare for the 2nd Coming of Our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ
Love for God is also manifested in sincerely praying to Him as we seek Him each day. Those who are knowledgeable about what to pray for will naturally have the great advantage of getting faster favorable results. There is a logical reason why this is so. If a person has been reading the Holy Bible to know God more and more each day, he would know what the Lord appreciates and what He disdains. For example, God has no time for foolishness.
Proverbs 1: 22-30 NKJV
“How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity?
For scorners delight in their scorning,
And fools hate knowledge.
23 Turn at my rebuke;
Surely I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you.
24 Because I have called and you refused,
I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded,
25 Because you disdained all my counsel,
And would have none of my rebuke,
26 I also will laugh at your calamity;
I will mock when your terror comes,
27 When your terror comes like a storm,
And your destruction comes like a whirlwind,
When distress and anguish come upon you.
28 “Then they will call on me, but I will not answer;
They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.
29 Because they hated knowledge
And did not choose the fear of the Lord,
30 They would have none of my counsel
And despised my every rebuke.”
Therefore, strive to first get to know God better by reading His Words of Wisdom for Man, in order to be acceptable to Him. It is one of the important reasons why Man must learn more about His Savior. Many get so frustrated after a series of prayers not knowing that what they are asking for will never be good in the eyes of a Perfect Being. A concrete example would be whenever Man asks God for help to get rich out of selling illegal narcotics, or technically stealing (graft and corruption) in government. Those who are able to get away with their thievery certainly receive their curses. I am aware of one case of a judge who became known for receiving bribes. He got rich. But his beloved, beautiful daughter encountered a comatose. Because the judge was rich and could afford a Life Saving Machine during comatose, he spent substantial amounts trying to keep her alive. Eventually, the daughter never recovered.
There are countless similar cases of people who rejected the Righteous Way of God and received severe punishments that anybody would abhor.
Make peace with The Almighty Father through His Son, Jesus Christ, who can forgive sins. Repent. Change your ways. It is never too late while there is life and hope. Both the spirit of life and the spirit of hope come from the Holy Spirit.
