Part 40 – We Need God’s Wisdom to Succeed

Part 40 – What It Means To Prepare for the 2nd Coming of Our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ

Proverbs 15:22 ESV
English Standard Version
“Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed.”

God’s Wisdom is both founded on Truth and realized after getting adequate counsel from advisers.

Many of the headlines about failures in recent days, weeks, and months hinge on poor planning, primarily because the plans lacked “wise counsel” from many wise advisers. In earlier parts of this series about preparing for the 2nd coming of The Messiah, I had mentioned that God wants His disciples to succeed. This does not refer to only the clergy but also other members of the Living Body of Jesus Christ on Earth. (Read 1 Corinthians 12: 12-27 & Romans 12:5)

However, there have been many failures which prompt us to wonder why it has been difficult to make positive breakthroughs one after another. The tyrannical leader of Syria continues to attack his own people after already killing over 500,000 in 7 years. Poverty and hunger worldwide remain widespread. We need not go far. Philippines has been experiencing compiling problems in just two years.

Don’t get me wrong. We should nevertheless be grateful to God Almighty because PEACE and STABILITY in the Korean Peninsula has been improving. Terrorism is far less than in the past.

What we need to aspire for is the attainment of more accomplishments for the glory of God. To get to that, disciples must recognize a Truth — that Wisdom is Supreme !

Proverbs 4: 7-17 ESV
“7 Wisdom is supreme. Get wisdom. Yes, though it costs all your possessions, get understanding. 8 Esteem her, and she will exalt you. She will bring you to honor, when you embrace her. 9 She will give to your head a garland of grace. A crown of splendor will she deliver to you.” 10 Listen, my son, and receive my sayings. The years of your life will be many. 11 I have taught you in the way of wisdom. I have led you in paths of uprightness. 12 When you go, your steps will not be hampered. When you run, you will not stumble. 13 Take firm hold of instruction. Don’t let her go. Keep her, for she is your life. 14 Don’t enter into the path of the wicked. Don’t walk in the way of evil men. 15 Avoid it, and don’t pass by it. Turn from it, and pass on. 16 For they don’t sleep, unless they do evil. Their sleep is taken away, unless they make someone fall. 17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, And drink the wine of violence.”

Wisdom is founded on Truth. It is drawn out of love for God and love for fellowmen. Only those with pure hearts can bear such a fruit and be called Wise Advisers. The contents of Wisdom can only be consistent with Words of God and never against God’s teachings.

This is God’s Wisdom which ensures successful planning and implementations until great fruits of the Spirit are realized. Do you see Wise Men of God ? We need them.

Proverbs 22:29 ISV
International Standard Version
“Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will work for kings, not unimportant people.”
