Part 46 – What It Means To Prepare for the 2nd Coming of Our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ
In the time when Jesus walked with Man on Earth, Peter asked where The Messiah was going, because he wanted to follow his Master. Today, we can likewise ask God what might be His plan for Man given all the hints from the bible. Would it not make us more comfortable to know exactly what concrete plans God actually has for each one working for His Kingdom? Then we would next ask how to go about successfully following His plan.
But the answer of Jesus to Peter was beyond human comprehension.
John 13:36-37
“36“Lord, where are You going?” Simon Peter asked. Jesus answered, “Where I am going, you cannot follow Me now, but you will follow later.” 37“Lord,” said Peter, “why can’t I follow You now? I will lay down my life for You.”
The proof of Peter’s failure to comprehend became obvious when he claimed not to know Jesus three times after the arrest of Jesus. After the resurrection of the Son of God, Peter eventually realized how Man’s Life has nowhere to go outside of following The Way of Truth, The Way of Righteousness. If we truly believe in God, and our lives become dedicated to the path leading to Eternal Life, then trust in God will take us where Jesus lives in order to inherit that which we are destined to receive in the Kingdom of God.
On Judgment Day, the Righteous will inherit God’s Rewards.
Matthew 25:34 ESV

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”
Whatever each good person might inherit in the Kingdom of God actually depends on actual deeds performed for the glory of God in the present life. (Romans 2:6 and Revelations 22:12)
